2018 Rosé of Pinot Noir
Pink gemstone in color, this wine opens with strawberry, ripe plum and a slight floral note on the nose. The palate offers ripe strawberry, peach, nectarines and mandarin orange alongside notes of rhubarb lengthened by the slight grip of sweet pith.
How we make our Rosé
Our Rosé is made of free run juice collected from hand-picked Pinot Noir grapes as they move through the processing line and fermented clear in stainless steel tanks until all the sugar has been converted into alcohol. The color is achieved by an addition of 2-3% Pinot Noir, giving us the ability to have consistent color year after year. Finished with a screw-cap for continuously fresh and available wine ready for a day at the beach or a hearty holiday meal.
The 2018 Vintage
2018 was a vintage for rich, bold flavors in Willamette Valley wines. Starting hot and dry through the spring and summer, by September rain was a welcome relief. Cooler temperatures during harvest slowed ripening and increased hang-time. With multiple vineyards ripening simultaneously in October, our crew put in long hours at the end of crush. Their hard work has paid off with bold fruit-forward red wines and fresh, stone-fruited white wines that veer into the tropical. 2018 was a warm vintage that ended cool giving us wines with a captivating combination of flavors.
