“The 2023 Pike Road Wines Shea Vineyard Pinot Noir spent 10 months aging in 17% new French oak, resulting in a wine that leans aromatic and structured rather than overtly plush. The bouquet opens with crushed strawberry, espresso foam, and savory undertones that recall cedary herbs and forest brush after rain. Across the palate, tart red cherry skin and pomegranate glide alongside hints of forest herbs, loamy soil, and subtle baking spice. Taut tannins and brisk acidity give the wine a disciplined backbone, creating balance and momentum through a focused, energetic finish.” – Paul Gregutt
